Our objective is to help our clients create positive interactions with their donors and supporters that solidify relationships and leave them more deeply committed to the cause.
Job Summary: The Vice President of Marketing will effectively promote Synergy’s phone-based donor engagement solutions throughout the nonprofit community. Responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that generate and qualify leads.
The Vice President of Marketing will work closely with the President and other departments to ensure the marketing efforts align with the company’s goals and objectives. This role involves managing various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, conferences, as well as the Synergy website.
The Vice President of Marketing will contribute to the growth and development of the company by actively engaging as part of the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify potential clients and engage them in dialogue around how Synergy’s services would benefit them.
- Messaging: Create and manage messaging to be used to drive marketing success throughout all marketing channels.
- Lead Qualification: Assess the needs, budget, and decision-making authority of leads, and determine whether a prospective client is a good fit for SDMS’s services. Determine the appropriate hand off of qualified leads to the sales team.
- Social Media Marketing: Design and deploy ongoing LinkedIn marketing strategy and propose additional social media marketing strategies.
- Website Marketing: Manage the relationship with Synergy’s web design partner. Create an action plan to continually optimize the website and keep the content fresh, up-to-date, and effective. Work with the Synergy Leadership Team to create and post blogs, case studies, and other promotional material. Ensure the website integrates effectively with other Marketing Solutions (i.e. Social, email, and other marketing channels.
- Email Marketing: Develop and maintain an email marketing program, utilizing a Zoom Info database.
- Conference Marketing: Manage Synergy’s conference marketing strategy, including creating and maintaining a conference schedule, managing logistics, and following up on leads and action items.
- Marketing Management: Establish and manage the marketing budget in partnership with the President. Conduct monthly meetings with each business unit to discuss developments, case studies, and other messages to be promoted.
- Marketing Support Materials: Develop and maintain marketing support materials, including PowerPoint presentations, ads, signage for trade shows, promotional materials, and other relevant content.
- Brand Management and Development: Strengthen Synergy’s brand presence by creating compelling messaging, positioning, and visual identity that resonates with target audiences. Ensure consistent and effective communication of Synergy’s brand values across all marketing materials, campaigns, and client interactions.
- Utilize Data and Analytics to Drive Decisions: Use marketing analytics tools to track, measure, and report on campaign performance and overall marketing effectiveness. Identify trends, insights, and opportunities from data analysis to refine strategies, improve marketing outcomes, and achieve business goals.

Qualifications:
- Track record of success in Marketing an organization, preferably in a leadership role
- Widely networked throughout the nonprofit community
- Familiar with Nonprofit marketing strategies and tools
- Proven experience marketing through LinkedIn and other social media
- Familiarity and experience with website marketing and SEO
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation tools
Compensation:
- Salary: $110,000-$140,000+ based on experience, job skills, and qualifications of the candidate
