Russ spent six years at MBNA and Citi as their marketing and relationship manager for developing affinity credit card relationships with a primary focus on growth and acquisition. Russ implemented various acquisition strategies that were customized to each client and exceeded all targeted growth expectations.
His success led him to senior management roles at Victory Capital Management for the next 11 years. Russ played an integral role in developing the firm’s data infrastructure, product management strategy, and institutional sales administration. He also managed the trading operations team with particular emphasis on proper international trade execution in accordance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). These roles required extensive evaluation, planning, strategy execution, and change management skills to be successful in the ever-changing investment management industry.
His outstanding performance and ability to be a key player with Victory Capital Management leveraged Russ to come aboard Synergy’s team. In 2010, Russ took over the inbound line of business at Synergy Direct Market Solutions where he manages all processes including provider/partner evaluation, solution strategy and implementation, client management, efficiency, and process flow management. Russ directly manages all relationships and is responsible for achieving all of client objectives with the continued growth in this line of business.
